NYX WILLOWBROOK!

Hey Beauties!

Hope you are all having a lovely start to the week. I know Monday’s can sometimes be a real drag, especially when you feel like the weekend wasn’t long enough for all you wanted to get done lol! But back to some beauty business! About a week and a half ago, I had the pleasure of being one of the few select bloggers/vloggers to attend a VIP party thrown by NYX Cosmetics for their first East Coast store in New Jersey at the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne a day before the actual store grand opening. I also got a chance to bring along a fellow blogger friend with me, Lauren! To say we had a blast is to say the least, we were treated wonderfully. NYX & their amazing PR team really out did themselves for us. From getting us car service to and from the event with champagne and snacks in the car, to refreshments and snacks being passed around when we got to the actual event, everything was nicely put together. They had a pink carpet all rolled out for the guests soon as you walked into the mall, they even had a ring light station where you could take selfies, very cute 🙂

The actual store front itself was beautiful and a decent size (think like a MAC store front size). I absolutely loved how organized everything was and how all the makeup had its own little section. First, they had a NYX Beauty Bar where customers can sit and choose from a number of different tutorials to then re-create looks using their iPads in front of them that feature their fave beauty influencers/vloggers guiding them step by step. Second, they have a NYX Shadow Bar where customers can create their own custom palettes in-store, how awesome is that? (The East Coast store is the first to have this feature!). And lastly, they have a NYX Lip Bar (my personal fave lol) where customers can look through the most beloved NYX lip colors in different formula options and see what they like most; you can choose from a soft matte lip cream or butter gloss and so on.

I basically wanted everything I saw in the store (makeup junkie problems haha), I was knocked off of my feet when at the end of the night, they gave everyone who attended the event a really adorable gift bag full of NYX goodies to play with. It was genuinely so sweet of them to do that after already providing us with impeccable car service and snacks in the car. Lauren and I had a great time! Our favorite part of the night was when the NYX team gave a speech to all the guests about who they were and where they are going as a brand, very insightful. It only made us want to support this brand even more than we already do! I strongly recommend if you are in the Jersey area to go pay the store a visit and shop until you drop! It is well worth it!

Additional store openings are planned throughout the remainder of 2016, with stores in the Southeast and Midwest scheduled in the next few months.
