KL Polish By Kathleen Lights Review!

Today, I want to take a moment and share with you my quick thoughts on Kathleen Lights new nail polish line KL Polish. If you are not familiar with whom she is, let me jump right in and fix that. Kathleen is a Cuban/American YouTube Beauty Vlogger from Miami who has amassed an almost 3 million subscriber following in only 3 years on her channel alone. She is one of my favorite Beauty Guru’s because in an oversaturated market of “Beauty Experts” on YouTube, I feel she hasn’t changed her values and continues to provide her audience with thorough and honest product reviews. She created KL Polish as her first foray into the Beauty Industry besides the many collaborations she’s done with other cosmetic brands the last 2 years. I respect the fact that she didn’t go the cosmetic route right away, but instead started a little smaller by releasing nail polishes, which if you know Kathleen, you know of her obsession with nail polishes. KL polish is an affordable cruelty-free, five-free, USA made nail polish brand that provides you top-notch quality product without harsh ingredients.

KL Polish shades cater to all skin-tones. I pre-ordered these polishes back in November before their official launch in December. I chose 4 out of the 6 fall-friendly shades – “Snickerdoodle”, “Caramello”, “Zoey” & “Brick Sidewalk”. All these lovely shades range from a gorgeous nude to a rustic red. The packaging is simple yet chic with KL Polish printed front and center on the square glass bottle. The cap is a soft rubberized texture that’s easy to grip and hold onto (similar to NARS packaging). The wand is short, wide and chubby which I personally enjoy because it makes applying the polish within my nail-beds much easier and with little mistakes. The formula of these polishes is excellent. Each color is pretty opaque and reaches full coverage with 1-2 applications of the desired shade. Now, my fingernails are notorious for chipping within 2 days, thus the reason why I don’t get manicures as often as I wish, but when using KL polish, I’ve definitely noticed a difference in the longevity of my mani. My nails don’t crack as quickly as they once did and the color stays put on my nails about 5 days with no serious or noticeable chip. For the price point, I believe you are getting an awesome polish and I can’t wait to see what other fun colors she comes out with in the future. I’m also looking forward to seeing if she comes out with other nail-related products (EX: top coat, nail polish remover, nail tools). KL Polish is the nail-brand to watch!
