MAC Cosmetics x Mariah Carey “Limited Edition Holiday Collection”!

I’ve been anxiously waiting until I received all my items to share with you what I purchased from the new MAC x Mariah Carey Holiday Collection! Ever since it was announced a few months back and I saw the teaser photos, I knew I just had to get some of the dazzling products from this line to add into my limited edition makeup stash. I’m a huge fan of Mariah’s music. I grew up in the 90’s listening to her mesmerizing voice and records; her songs are basically the soundtrack to my childhood and teenage years. I was super excited when I learned she would be collaborating with none other than MAC. She obviously brought her impeccable glamour and diamond loving esthetic to this collection. Every single last item in this luxurious collab screams MARIAH. There’s nothing within this collection I can’t envision Mariah wearing herself or having on her vanity.

There are many sexy nude tones and sparkling glosses within the line. I bought 2 lipsticks and 2 glosses from the collection. Both lipsticks are MAC’s “Cremesheen” formula which is infused with pearlized pigments and a moisturizing serum blend. The colors I selected were “Dahhlinggg!” a sheer pinky peach tone that can be both worn alone or topped off with a gloss & “MCizzle” a cool peach nude that’s about a shade or two deeper than “Dahhlinggg!”. I actually prefer this color because I like my nudes with a little more depth to them. Nude lipsticks can be tricky to wear; you don’t want to get too light of a nude where after applying your lips look erased or invisible haha! The packaging of these lippies are MAC’s signature bullet, but with a Mariah twist. They’re silver glitter bullets with champagne gold accents and Mariah’s signature towards the inside. The lipstick themselves are imprinted with a gorgeous Butterfly – which if you know Mariah, you know she loves her Butterflies, she even has an album named after it!

As for the 2 glosses, they’re MAC’s popular “LipGlass” formula. It’s a high-gloss with a glass-like finish or a subtle sheen. It’s designed to be worn on its own or over a lip pencil or a lipstick; it’s the perfect product for creating shine that lasts. Mariah’s glosses are packaged in the all too familiar MAC clear tube, but the top has the same silver glitter detail as the lipstick bullets, tying them together. The wand has their standard sized doeffa applicator. I got the shades “Dreamlover” a sheer dirty pink shimmer & “It’s Just Like Honey” a gorgeous tan shimmer that has quickly become a favorite gloss! Now, if you’ve owned any type of gloss from MAC, you know they’re a bit on the stickier side of things. If you personally hate sticky glosses, than stay clear of these in the collection. And lastly, there’s the oh so special “My Mimi” Extra Dimension Skin Finish, my absolute top pick from the entire collaboration! MAC’s Extra Dimension Skin Finish is by far my preferred highlighter formula. It’s a liquid-powder highlighter that provides a beautiful luminous, well-defined finish. Can we just take a moment to admire the fact that this EDSF has Mariah’s cartoon face printed on it?!! It’s a genius touch; I can’t even bring myself to swatch it! And it’s housed in a champagne gold compact making it instantly grab your eye! Honestly, I can’t rave enough about this collection. It’s possibly one of the best collaborations they’ve done from product down to packaging. Did you guys get anything from the 23 pc collection? What are your favorite items?
