I hope everyone had a nice weekend! Today, I want to share with you all my thoughts on a new makeup product that’s been the talk of the town, Anastasia Beverly Hills “Modern Renaissance” Eyeshadow Palette. This item has gained some serious beauty buzz the last couple of weeks through social media and I’m here to tell you, the hype is SO real! I’m a serious makeup junkie, I own several eyeshadow palettes, probably more than anyone should have, so for me to only use one palette for two weeks straight is saying A LOT! I own two other Anastasia palettes, and “Modern Renaissance” has got to be my all-time fave! The palette comes with 14 eyeshadows; a decent sized mirror and an extremely usable dual-ended brush (love her eyeshadow brushes by the way). In regards to quality and formulation, this is the best yet from Anastasia. The shadows are creamy, pigmented and very blend-able. The shades are a warm neutral lover’s dream come true with elegant earthy tones that will knock your socks off! The eyeshadows in combination with a good eye primer are also crease and fade-resistant. The shades included in the palette will take you from day to night in a flash. You can create something soft for daytime then easily blend in some darker tones in the crease for nighttime. As for the packaging, the pink fuzzy top exterior feels incredible while the bottom half is their standard cardboard. In a way it reminds me of IT Cosmetics eyeshadow palette packaging, but done even better. If you haven’t already done so, go out and get this palette immediately! I highly recommend it for anyone who loves warm tones!

Hey how did you get ABH to notice your blog to send you PR?x
Hello There – well it was through word of mouth honestly. An account executive I worked with years prior from another PR agency, contacted me when she moved to a new job. This particular PR agency handles the ABH account 🙂 I’ve had my blog for over 3 years now so little by little after alot of hard work and consistency, brands start to take notice and contact you when they believe in your blog and what you can bring to the table including inviting you to their events and launches. Just takes a bit of patience and determination. When I first started out, I would personally go on the websites of brands I used and personally enjoyed and contact them through their provided press emails requesting product samples in exchange for a review and to my surprise, alot of companies were willing to work with me. Now don’t get me wrong, I also got alot of rejections in the beginning, but the whole point is to be as persistent as possible.
