Happy Easter Everyone! Hope you are all enjoying the day with you’re family & loved ones! I thought it would be the perfect day to do a mini drugstore haul at Duane Reade, seeing as I have one right across the street from my apartment building. I wanted to hit them up and get a few things I’ve been reading about. I am constantly doing research online on the hottest products out, so I can test them at home and give you all my reviews. I have plenty more goodies up my sleeve for the next few weeks, so sit back & stay tuned!!!
1. Maybelline New York – “Dream Bouncy Blush” In Color: 60 Coffee Cake – $7.99 – PROS: Love, love loved this! I like the fact that this is a cream blush. I dappled some on my finger and applied to the apples of my cheeks, it went on super smooth and I didn’t need too much of it as the color was rich. Sometimes with cream blush your left feeling a little greasy, but that was not the case with this product. Would surely recommend to all ladies, especially because the packaging is small and you don’t need to carry a brush to put on. No CONS to speak of at this moment.
2. Maybelline New York – “Dream Fresh BB 8-In-1 Beauty Balm Skin Protector Broad Spectrum SPF 30” – In Color: Light/Medium – $8.99 – PROS: Blurred some of my imperfections, really light weight and moisturizing, after application adjusts to your skin tone evenly, great alternative for days you don’t want the heaviness of foundation…CONS: Size is pretty small, if you apply on a regular basis it will finish quickly and you will need to go out and buy another one soon after.
3. Revlon – “Just Bitten Color Stay Lip Stain & Balm” – In Color: Passion – $8.99 – PROS: Light weight as lip balm, color is bright and still subtle, smells delicious!, liked that the lip stain and balm are separated at each tip end, color stays on for many hours even after eating…CONS: I didn’t enjoy the whole marker-ness of the lip stain tip, feels like I’m literally coloring my lips trying to stay within the lines lol.
4. L’oreal – “Colour Riche Caresse Aqua Lacquer Lipgloss” In Color: Pink Perseverance – $9.99 – PROS: Love the packaging, the small tip sponge for application was nice (thinner than most out now), lipgloss feels silky…CONS: Color was not what I expected (much lighter than appears, looks as if I didn’t have any lipgloss on!) and it smelled like hairspray!

I’ve been wondering about the Maybelline BB cream, but I haven’t really heard much about it. By the time I get around to buying it, Maybelline will have already moved on to the CC creams. lol.
LOL! I agree they pump out new products every other day! I think they have a bestseller on their hands the BB cream I purchased today was the last one in my color and there were very few left in the darker tones. Try it out when you get a chance though, it was pretty good! 🙂
Definitely, like you said, it sounds like it’s great for days when you don’t want to wear a heavier foundation.
For sure, great alternative!
