Just in time for the Holidays, Anastasia Beverly Hills is offering a solid set of six metallic highlighters that provide intense luminosity in a convenient palette form. Now, being a huge fan of their other glow kits (linked below are my previous reviews for “That Glow” & “Sun Dipped” Glow Kits) in my mind, I had a feeling this palette would be just as good. The powders are ultra-finely milled, blend-able and won’t leave any shimmer behind on the skin when removed at the end of the day. These powders also provide a smooth even sheen to the basic highlighting areas of the face such as the cheekbones, tear ducts, bridge of the nose and Cupid ’s bow. This glow kit includes 6 shades, same as their Moonchild glow kit released earlier this summer and it’s housed in their standard travel-friendly cardboard packaging. In my opinion, the color selections in this glow kit seem to be more Universal. You have shades for the fair and pale of the palest as well as for those with medium to darker skin tones. And what’s best is that you can combine shades and custom create your own subtle to blinding highlight. My only con with this palette is that there is a considerable amount of fall-out when I dip my fan brush into the pan (way more than the other glow kits). This could be because these powders are more metallic than the earlier releases. Although I must say, even with the initial fall-out in the pan, this does not translate onto the skin. I don’t have any chunks of glitter to wipe away after application. With all that being said, I would give this glow kit a solid B+ grade and would definitely recommend adding it to your collection.
