Happy Sunday Funday Guys!
I’m pretty excited to finally be reviewing some Charlotte Tilbury products on my blog. I feel like I’m the last person in the beauty world to get on the Charlotte Tilbury train, but if I’m being honest, I didn’t want to fork over the cash to purchase some of these items. As you all know, Charlotte Tilbury Makeup is very high end and with that being said, very expensive. So I’m sure you can understand my hesitation lol. When I finally decided to cave in and get a few things, I wanted to make sure I got makeup items I could use on a regular basis. I got a nude lip liner and nude matte lipstick, a finishing powder and blush compact. In true Charlotte Tilbury fashion, the packaging of each item reeks of lavish classy old school Hollywood glamour. Her color scheme is to die for with beautiful deep burgundy and gold tones. The “Lip Cheat” liner in color “Iconic Nude”, is the perfect everyday nude base for the lips. The liner is super soft and creamy and it doesn’t tug or pull on the lips while applying. You do have to sharpen this pencil which to me, can be somewhat of an inconvenience especially when taking it on the go. I do wish for the price point, it would be a retractable pencil instead. The “Cheek To Chic Swish & Pop Blusher” in color “Love Glow” is a gorgeous color-rich, silky and finely milled powder that gives you the perfect healthy and youthful glow. It’s a two step application system where you swish with your brush all around the product and pop at the center of the blush for a final bright burst of color on the cheeks. I’m so in love with this blusher, it reminds me so much of the NARS cult classic blush in color “Orgasm” that I’ve had for years in my collection.
Out of the 4 products I purchased, my favorite has got to be the “Airbrush Flawless Finish Skin Perfecting Micro Powder” in color “2 Medium”. I use this powder to set my foundation into place for the whole day, especially in the t-zone where I seem to get oily the fastest. It’s the perfect powder to blur away fine lines and imperfections. I’ve never used a powder that leaves my skin looking and feeling so flawless. After using this powder, my complexion looks luminous and bright in all the right ways. There is definitely no cakey effect created when using this product, no matter how many times you use it during the day. The only CON I see with this product is that it only comes in 3 shades. The one darker color, is not even that deep. The more higher-end makeup brands need to get it together and create colors that cater to all if not most skin tones. In this day and age with more and more people who are of mixed decent, its time to make sure all avenues are covered.
My least favorite product out of the bunch has got to be the “Matte Revolution Lipstick” in color “Very Victoria”. This lipstick was not at all what I expected of a matte lippy. Truth is, it just wasn’t pigmented enough for me and it wasn’t long-wearing. Although the gold packaging and angled tip of the product where stunning, I had to constantly re-apply this lipstick because it would just fade during the day. The formula was soft and hydrating, but to me it was just lack-luster for a $32 lipstick! It doesn’t even set to a matte finish! It’s more of a satin finish. I could have easily went to Sephora and gotten myself a NARS “Audacious Lipstick” which is extremely pigmented for the same price and been happier with the purchase. Or even one of the NYX “Matte Lipsticks” which is at a drugstore price point and is chock-full of color! If you like a wash of color, then this lipstick is for you, but for others who are busy like me that want instant color payoff and longevity in their lip products, then stay clear of this particular lipstick.

Great review! I’m the total opposite with “Very Victoria”- I love it! It’s a MLBB for me, and I love how the formula feels on my lips. I personally feel like the formula is a matte, but the doesn’t look flat. Good to see another person’s perspective though 😀
Thank you love, I’m happy that lippy worked for you even though not for me. That’s to show how one product can work for some better than others. I do still want to try out her other lipsticks and glosses for a future review, so stay tuned! 🙂
These all look so pretty! I really want to try CT products, everyone seems to love them so much!
Her products for the most part are good, but because of the high price tag, I would recommend only purchasing items you know you will use consistantly 🙂
