NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks!

As you guys already know, I am a huge fan of NYX Cosmetics. Throughout the years, I’ve featured them in many blog posts. They create high quality products for accessible drugstore prices. Honestly, there’s rarely been a product I’ve tried and tested from them that I haven’t enjoyed. So when they rolled out their new lingerie liquid lipsticks (not to be confused with their soft matte lip creams), I was anxious to get a few to review here on the blog. My PR contact for NYX was nice enough to send a couple over and I’ve been using them throughout this week. I was immediately impressed with cute packaging and the flat doe-foot applicator which makes it super easy to apply this liquid lipstick and keep it within the lip lines. The formula itself is nice and smooth when applying, its similar to the soft matte lip creams, but not as dry. With this product, you definitely need to apply two coats, one will not be enough to get the true pigmentation of the color onto your lips. I don’t mind it for myself, but I know others want that instant color payoff with one coat, if this is you then you might want to skip out on this particular liquid lipstick. For just $7 bucks each, if I need to apply another coat, then it’s not a huge deal. This product also doesn’t have much of a smell, which I was a little bummed with because I love how the NYX butter glosses smell. I like my makeup to have a faint hint of a vanilla scent at bare minimum. The longevity of this liquid lipstick is what I really liked. Once it goes on and fully dries, it’s so hard to take off! It was actually a pain in the ass lol. It only comes off with an oil based makeup remover or if you just so happen to eat any oily foods throughout the day. I only had to reapply it once after I ate which is a huge plus! I also loved the beautiful neutral toned color range in this collection, it can suit so many different skin tones. Again, for the price point, this is a good option if you want to hop on the liquid lipstick train and not pay over $20 for each one at Sephora or Ulta.
