Color-blocking is beyond HOT right now in regards to fashion, but it’s important how to properly rock this trend. If your wearing an item that is color-blocked, make sure you only have one piece with this detail on it. Whether it be your jacket, top, sweater or shoes, you don’t want to take it over board because it can look tacky really quick. I was recently gifted the below color-blocked J.Crew jacket from my father and it’s the perfect transitional fall piece. The elongated silhouette is to die for and the military inspired details (gold buttons, removable hood and various pockets) give you a cool edge. I would say my only complaint is that the coated canvas fabric attracts dust like no tomorrow, but it’s nothing a lint roller can’t fix lol! I added a bit of pizazz with a bright nail color, Essie’s “Big Spender” which has become my new fave polish of the week and with a leather/gold chain bracelet from Banana Republic that’s great for stacking up on your wrist with other fabulous bracelets. With this jacket, I’m ready for those NYC windy afternoons and nights!
