Lip Perfection With Rimmel London & Cover Girl!

For some reason or another, drugstore makeup doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. Just because your not paying the price for a name brand cosmetic doesn’t mean that all others can’t be as good or contain the same quality as the more expensive kind. Don’t get me wrong, I do love my higher end cosmetics, but when I don’t have the money to splurge, I don’t cry a river…I simply take a walk to my local drugstore and have a field day! L’oreal, Covergirl, Physician’s Formula etc… are all fantastic brands in their own right. Listed below are my favorite drugstore lipstick and balm. The first is from Rimmel London, an almost nude lipstick with a smooth, shiny and glossy finish, perfect for an everyday demure look. The second is a lip balm crayon from Covergirl, for days when you want a sudden and soothing light burst of color, but not the heaviness or fuss of an actual lipstick. The two are easy and quick alternatives to the department store norm.

1. Rimmel London – “Lasting Finish Lipstick” – In Color: 070 Airy Fairy – $6.49

2. Covergirl – “Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm” – In Color: 215 Watermelon Twist – $9.49

  1. There are so many good drug store brands out there. Obviously, sometimes higher end might trump drugstore in terms of how long the product will last you, but still, there are so many drugstore brands out there. I feel like sometimes people might get a little too snobby with their high street cosmetics, and forget how awesome Maybelline/Rimmel/Revlon can be!

      1. Definitely! I mean I’ve never bought a $20 mascara, but I can’t imagine it’s super amazing to justify $20!
