Today I made a quick stop at LUSH Cosmetics in the city to pick up their highly talked about lip scrub and face highlighter. I’ve been hearing about their all natural handmade products for years (especially their soaps) and even went into the store a few times in the past, but never actually bought anything because everytime I set foot in there it was jammed packed with people. Now that I’m trying to be more organic with products I use myself, I thought this would be the perfect time to try them out! And just my luck, for the first time the store was practically empty when I walked inside (must be fate lol). Since their merchandise is all natural the scents that hit you when you first walk in are a little bit overbearing, not in a bad way, just really strong. Once you get over that, the store is actually very cute, well organized and the sales girls are very pleasant to talk too and efficient at helping you find whatever it is your looking for. I also like the fact that their products are cruelty free, which means they are not being animal tested. Having a puppy at home that I adore, this meant so much to me! I even signed a petition to stop animal testing within their store, so it’s definitely a cause close to their hearts. Soon as I got home from work, I used my new scrub and highlighter and have nothing but good things to say! The scrub helped buff away my chapped lips and left them in pure softness, tasting just as the product description, bubblegum! As for the highlighter, I applied a small amount under my eyes, at the apples of my cheeks and at the cupid’s bow above my lip and it gave my face a subtle glow and dewyness perfect for the spring weather! You can also mix this tint with your moisturizer and apply all over your face, but I thought it best for me to just use at the bare minimum. I will certainly make more stops at LUSH for future purchases.
